Helen Brown is a living legend in Australia's screen sound industry. She recently retired as one of the few full-time "foley artists" for film and television - a sound-effects actor, performing the actions and footsteps for the characters on-screen, recorded in live performances in-sync with the video. In 2011, Helen was the first woman to achieve the Australian Screen Sound Guild (ASSG) Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her significant and enduring contribution to the Australian film and television industry.
This painting is framed with a Tasmanian oak float frame, hand made by the artist.
