This painting, loosely based on the Italian walled town of Lucca, is a nod to Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico. The mystery of the deserted, manicured street, and the promise of another land beyond the protection of the wall ... as the first cracks appear. Perhaps it's also a metaphor for a city in a pandemic lockdown under the "protection" of their government.
Please note: This painting is framed with a custom Tasmanian oak frame. The framed images are for demonstration only and the actual frame may vary from the images.
